Description

Final page of the "Wolves at the Gate" story arc. The arc was controversial for Buffy's relationship with the slayer, Satsu. Here they have a passionate goodbye while bracketed by scenes of Dracula, Willow, and Xander.

My wife is a Buffy superfan, so picked up this page during a recent auction....maybe for that third panel ;-)

I love pages that are multiple snapshots in time for several characters.

Even without the word balloons, it's quite poignant.

I'll go ahead and be different. Wow wow wow, what an amazing 2nd panel! And that extablishing shot of the ship with the cityscape behind it is nice too in the first panel. I'm a fan of Georges Jeanty's work on some Star Wars comics in recent years, honestly had no idea he worked on Buffy so this is cool to see. The silver signature in the all blacked out panel is kinda cool too. Maybe 2026 is the year I finally do a Buffy binge watch (never watched the series but have always been aware of it's pop culture relevancy).
