The Caterpillar - Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

This is an official sketch card created for the Alice's Adventures in Wonderland set produced by Masterpiece Cards.

The piece depicts a confrontation between Alice and a giant, Steampunk-inspired Caterpillar. I focused on dramatic scale and lighting, using a teal/blue light source to illuminate the the Caterpillar's segmented, armored body and cast shadows on Alice's face. Rendered with alcohol markers.
