Stunning piece!
Awesome piece, that dino is so good! I've been really impressed with the commission pieces from Celso that have popped up on CAF (Matt Kennedy and EC's pieces recently come to mind as well) and this is no different. Congrats on the great result and a heavenly birthday to Dan (I re-read V For Vendetta for the first time in quite a long time over the holidays and thought of Dan a lot then as well).
Normally you'd put your money on the dinosaur, especially one this fearsome, but... The angle is great for showing the rows of razor sharp teeth.
Savage!
Very nice! Dan would have imagined the T-Rex eating Cyclops before this encounter.
Wolvosauras Snikt!
That's one badass dino, but I'm not sure he stands a chance in this matchup. Nice commission and even better write-up!
What? You can fight dinosaurs and manage to keep all your clothes on? Does James know?
Detail and composition. You nailed it. And so did Celso. Incidentally, the package doodle seems to be a prelude to your "one-minute-later" scene. Haha!
THis is an amazing commission. The detail of the T-Rex, sensaof movement and ferocity is outstanding. Congrats!
Insanely good!
Great artistry from this newer artist. Cheers on this fun illustration.
Gorgeous piece and a fitting tribute to Dan T.
Who would have known that Logan was in the War That Time Forgot?!! Love the little dino at the front that just adds to the scale here. Congrats!
RAWR!
Sadly, this Jurassic Park redux was doomed from the start!
Many's the time I've seen commissions
And many times confused
Yes, and I've often felt for Logan
Who's certainly misused
Oh, but I'm all right, It's all right
I'm just weary to claw bones
Still, you don't expect to be bright at comic con
So far away from home
So far away from home
I don't know a soul who's not been battered
I don't have a friend who feels Mazine
I don't know a dream that's not been shattered
Or driven to Dan T
Oh, but it's all right, it's all right
For we've lived so Celso's on
Still, when I think of Dino we're traveling on
I wonder what's gone wrong
I can't help it, a wonder birthday song
Celso slays it again!
Such a fun piece and in remembering Dan T through his spirt to support new talent is even better!
Love the T Rex taking front and center, very cool.
Whoolf! Looks like Wolvie is in for one Savage Landing! Great composition, with the thick black shading of the tree trunk and T-Rex pulling the eye to the left and down (and giving Logan's jump extra velocity and motion due to the viewer's own act of looking at the piece)! I -love- that Celso took a storytelling approach to the commission request, rather than the well-trod "pin-uppy shot of bloodied Wolverine standing over fallen dino"; it really makes this one fresh and exciting, and allows Celso the chance to really strut his stuff! Sweet pick up, ML!
I've always LOVED Wolverine, but damn, the T-Rex is SO good I almost didn't notice Wolverine was there!
