DescriptionColor Guides the wave of the future!!! Just kidding .. well who knows because I saw an ASM one sell last week in Ha for a thousand bucks! But not this one I found running around the Snyder warehouse … Color Guides for the most part are a very cheap way to collect some art from those vintage books you love and not have to let your financial planner know lol.. for less then most Hembeck cards on eBay.. I was able to grab this great battle page with Captain America and the New Mutants fighting demons together during inferno! Yes that inferno… my favorite X-men crossover! Buscema and Palmer are a classic duo who worked on this.. and Christie Scheele actually does a fine job with the colors.. coloring in the late 80s was always hit or miss so glad to get one that looks good! I really hope Marcus is the first to post on this and comes up with something extra clever!Social/Sharing |

And if Moonachie walking down the line
With my favorite Jersey town in mind
Well, I'll be here around color guides
With the clan of Snyder and a bunch of wine
Beer drinkers and hell raisers, yeah
Baby, don't Buscemas come Christine?
And the crowd gets loud
When the Cap gets ride
Scheele colors crying through the night
Yeah, trying to cover up Avengers fight
But everything's cool 'cause they just tight
Beer drinkers and Tom Palmers, yeah
Baby, don't your colors come with Scheele?
Ah, play it boy

Sweet color guide find and from a key X-Men/NM crossover storyline, great pickup! Color Guides are def starting to creep up into the multiple hundreds (or even thousand+ like you pointed out for a McFarlane ASM title splash) for key storylines or top in demand artists work on their desirable titles. Too late to be under the radar anymore, but still relatively reasonable!

Congrats on this cool inexpensive unique piece of Inferno, to add to your collection. I like the color guides, it's still very much art and a cool piece of the process. I scored some fun ones recently from an Avengers book recently and need to post. Cheers!
