Betty and Me #1 Original Art Cover Recreation

The classic 1966 Dan DeCarlo cover to Betty and Me #1 is the subject of this recreation. Large 14” x 20” format on aged Bristol board.

Created by hand with methods as close as possible to how the original was made including using vintage supplies and tools whenever available. Two hand lettered word balloons, reproduction stats with light rubber cement staining, white out, and light production marks.

Five levels of anti-fraud measures are incorporated into the work as well to deter it from being used in any sort of nefarious way. See my website's Recreation page’s FAQ for more info.
