Description
In this issue, the Fantastic Family adopts a cute little dog named Jelly Bean that turns out to be a huge & hideous many-tentacled monster that can manipulate what people see and even feel.

Alicia (the blind sculptress who is now married to the ever lovin' blue-eyed Thing) is the only one who is able to temporarily break the spell of the monster and "see" it for what it is. They battle, but the monster re-exerts control.

But Alicia is also able to express some concerns to Reed, who (on this page I am posting tonight) brings a doo-hickey to the dinner table that finally breaks the spell the monster has on everyone.

So in the splashy first panel, everyone is fine with the many-tentacled monster wrapped around a smiling Alicia, but in the second and third panels, they are most definitely ... not. And mayhem ensues!

I just this page because of how things change so quickly.

And also I love the kitty cats in that splashy panel. The Fantastic Family definitely likes to bring in stray animals.

And finally, if you're reading this current FF series, you'll notice that Ryan North likes to write family scenes set around a crowded dinner table. And Humberto and Victor are masterful at illustrating these scenes. So I was happy to get a page like this.

That's one helluva spread!! This works so well as a straight slice of life kinda scene of Marvel's extended First Family...until it isn't! ;-)

Great chaotic scenes. Very expressive faces and body language here. I love the Baxter t-shirt on the Thing. I'm surprised they had one in his size.

This page just screams "FF".  Great family scene up top, then back to action!  Congrats!

This would not of been an issue if they just served meatballs.

Lovely page! That top panel is classic! How quickly things go from peaceful to chaotic!

Wait, wait, wait. Alicia is being drawn to appear as a teenager now but they're still sticking with the 48 year old Ben being her lover? And married?!? Gulp! #metoo
