Description
By the 1930s Christie had moved from the pulps in America to the more major mainstream market- this illustration was done for the Hercule Poirot Murder in Mesopotamia in 1935 for the De 7 Saturday Evening Post. With large cast Gruger chose to illustrate a line about a hypothetical person who was doing the murders! The person depicted is not someone in the story!
