Nick Bradshaw half-body sketch of the Thing

B11 - I got this sketch of the Thing by Nick Bradshaw in 2004 at a local comic shop here in Moncton, New Brunswick. This was when Nick was doing some of his earliest work on an independent comic called Sacred Circles and Army of Darkness, long before he started at Marvel. I just loved his version of the Thing because he looked both fun-loving and extremely powerful. The Fantastic Four are among the Silver Surfer’s staunchest allies, even if Norrin and Ben have had a long-time competition for the affection of Alicia Masters. This is the 11th sketch in the back section of my Silver Surfer sketchbook as I continue my countdown for the Surfer’s 60th anniversary.
