The art by Sal is incredible, but the best part of this page for me is Falcon being called "birdbrain", and Redwing's "SKAA" attack.

Verpoorten may have been the last inker you'd want from this time period, but Sal's action and pencil rendering was foolproof for any inker to follow.

i really liked that era's cap art, espeically when either verpoorten or mclaughlin inked our pal sal. the serpent squad story was really a good one. congrats, lee!
