The Death Star by Trevor Von Eeden

Discovering Trevor Von Eeden’s gallery here on CAF has been a joy. As a fan of his art, and someone who has loved Black Lightning since I was a child…finding this piece in particular is perfect.

His words describe this piece best, of course:
“THE DEATH STAR - 8.5 x 11 pencil and gouache illo featuring The Death Stars and Bars of the TREASONOUS Confederate Flag, with the appropriate embellishments...”

When I reached out, hoping it was still available, he said it was one of his most favorite personal pieces.

Being yelled at on the street from time to time as my wife and I take walks…I have zero tolerance for racism, bigotry. And we don’t even live in “The God Fearin’ South” with all those “Good Ol’ Boys” to whom Trevor dedicated this piece. We live in Metro Detroit. But there are still too many of these ugly flags flown by too many awful human beings, mostly on the back of their trucks…often alongside a Trump flag. F%$& this “people” and their hatred. Notice which finger is most prominent on that cross…perfect.
