Carlos D'Anda

This iteration of The Outsiders had this character called Shift. Shift was a portion of Metamorpho that became sentient somehow. I don't recall specifics. But, I liked the character and slight difference in look from Metamorpho. It was a letdown when the character ended due to being re-absorbed back into Metamorpho.

At the time, I mainly purchased this pinup for the amazing colors along with the boxing theme Shift was showing off. I was a huge boxing fan. I read somewhere that Carlos added his own colors to this pen and ink art later on. Thanks to Carlos D'Anda for creating such cool artwork of Shift.

I was a Shift fan too and hated to see him go. Great piece-I love the boxing gloves.

Shift was a fun character. That was an enjoyable iteration of the Outsiders.
