CLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!In 1988 publisher Another Rainbow produced an oversized 12.75x17" hardcover w/248 pages titled Mickey Mouse In Color, featuring a retrospective of Mickey Mouse in the comics, including interviews w/Disney legends and Floyd Gottfredson (1905-1986) and Carl Barks (1901-2000), who have both boldly signed bound-in page in black marker. This page also has "GP11" handwritten notation, indicating this was part of the limited "Gold Plate" edition that also came w/a detailed full body sketch of Mickey by Barks, showing him dancing in top hat while holding cane, striking a pose reminiscent of Fred Astaire. Barks has signed below art in pencil. Only the "Gold Plate" edition came w/Barks art, limited to 100 copies. This graphite and colored pencil original art comes on 6x7" sheet of unlined paper mounted to larger board. Exc. Book reprints Mickey Mouse comic strips by Gottfredson as well as Barks' only Mickey Mouse comic book story, Riddle Of The Red Hat, originally published in Four Color #79. The book also features a 32-page section features Carl Barks original sketches for an unproduced feature length Mickey Mouse cartoon titled Northwest Mounted. Inside back cover has a 7" dia. vinyl picture disc record featuring image of Mickey on front and photo of the two men on back. This 33-1/3 rpm record features an interview w/Barks and Gottfredson and has matching hand-inked "11/100 GP" edition number. Book is Exc. and comes w/protective plastic dustjacket. An exceptional book signed by two of the all-time great Disney Legends.
