CLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!Large and impressive 24.75x35" illustration board (w/attached mat) features acrylic original art showcasing vibrantly colored and detailed illustration that was used for card #167 in Topps' Star Wars Galaxy Series 2 trading card series, released in Spring 1994. Art is by Ken Barr (1933-2016) - noted film poster, comic and book cover artist - and features great group portrait of R2-D2, Chewbacca, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, C-3PO and Obi-Wan Kenobi braced for battle against platoon of Stormtroopers approaching in bkg. Of note, Chewbacca chokes one Stormtrooper. Tusken Raiders are seen riding Banthas in bkg. at left while Jawa Sandcrawler approached from right. Top half of art is dominated by large Darth Vader image, who is flanked by the Death Star w/TIE Fighters at left and squadron of X-Wing Fighters at right. Barr has signed his name at lower right.
