Description
I’m still not quite sure how this marvel treasure ended up on my table; I’ll chalk it up to the mysteries of the universe.

This final page from Captain America #319 contains the moment of Scourge’s finest hour, at the Bar With No Name, as he shockingly eliminated a basket of 18 supervillains from the Marvel Universe.

Fun fact: Holding the page up to sunlight, you can see there is actually a smaller “Justice is Served” text bubble underneath the main one (see additional pic).

Justice Was Served to:

1 - Bird-Man II
2 - Cheetah
3 - Commander Kraken
4 - Cyclone
5 - Foolkiller
6 - Grappler
7 - Hellrazor
8 - Hijacker
9 - Jaguar
10 - Letha
11 - Mind-Wave
12 - Mirage
13 - Rapier
14 - Ringer
15 - Shellshock
16 - Steeplejack
17 - Turner D Century
18 - Vamp

More TLDR ramblings:

Just stunned and grateful. I can’t believe that this page has finally emerged, and that I get to be its caretaker on the next leg of its journey. This is a monumental addition to my collection and honestly feels like the end of a long quest.

Scourge was my favorite mystery as a mid-80s comic-book kid. He would randomly pop up in your favorite book (Meanwhile…), disguised and hunting down some low-tier supervillain. Those cameos usually stole the spotlight, and were what kept your mind spinning when you put the book down. Sure, it was likely Marvel editors trimming the roster a bit, but as a kid this was thrilling stuff! After the stunning events here, it truly felt like just about anything could happen in the Marvel Universe.

This page has remained in the legendary Joe Sinnott’s collection until recently.

Thank you to the pair of new friends that helped me obtain my grail - not sure if you want to be named, but you know who you are!

Nooooo! Not Foolkiller! Well, I guess there was another Foolkiller to come along after that one. Fun fact about the smaller text bubble underneath. I guess after 18 deaths, that bubble just didn't convery quite enough justice being served. Shout it loud. Nice Neary page!

The page that filled the interiors of one of my favorite Marvel series, The Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe Deluxe Edition The Book of the Dead!

Major death page!   Scourge's kill count is shooting up the charts next to Rambo and Topper Harley!

Reading through that list of names... yeah, it was probably time to trim the fat. Excellent page!

Congrats on acquiring a Grail page! I also acquired a Neary Captain America Grail. Also an end page. Neary really knew how to close out an issue.
