Marvels 1602 # 6 cover prelim

The final covers for this series were all scratchboards by the same artist (Scott McKowen). The pencil prelims are all awesome and very close to the finished products. Graphite on illustration paper, around 8x12. Dijon (the gargoyles were mostly added in 1880)castle/cathedral represented here in this moody awesome piece. I really enjoyed the historic concept and the awesome scratchboard covers really drove that home for me when I fist saw the series. This just is a superb piece. Gargoyles aplenty.
