I’ve been blessed by the art gods with a Spider-man by Arthur Adams! I was fortunate to get on Arthur’s list at ECCC and even more fortunate to get a full figure Spidey from him.

Arthur pencilled and inked the art for the large Spider-man full figure and Black Cat corner box. He also filled in the black on the Romita Sr. Spider-man corner box. He jokingly said he made it better. Additionally he added some small embellishments to the background webbing. I created and prepped the art board with the trade dress and background webbing leaving an open area in the shape of Spider-man’s silhouette for Arthur to draw within. I inked the black fills of the web background and parts of the trade dress traditionally over printed grey lines. See additional images.

Thanks to Arthur for taking on the commission and Torrie for facilitating. Essential Sequential had the best and nicest artists to interact with. They say never meet your heroes, but I have to disagree!

Can you clarify, Arthur did both corner boxes and that's it, or he inked the big center Spidey and the Black Cat corner box. If so was that center Spidey penciled by AA or just inked?
