Description
James Harren - Ultramega Issue 9 Page 37 (2025)

Ultramega is a coming of age story, and by "coming of age"... I mean a young man gaining powers, then fighting and destroying an increasing number of opposing monster enemies in some of the most varied and intense fight scenes in the comic book medium! Harren excels at conveying motion not just within a panel but scene to scene, with the monsters themselves shape shifting in real-time yet still in a legible fashion and in a way that I am glued to the story.

This interior page is from the final battle in issue 9 where the main character Noah does the Ultramega Triple Knife Hand Slash... I'll leave it at that!

Wonderful slice and dice action from Harren! Especially like the pose in that second panel. Nice one!

Classic staging and posing, especially if you've watched enough anime. Nice one!

The "Ultramega Triple Knife Hand Slash"? Is that anything like the double fisted Shake Weight pump?

It's a little different but both are great arm workouts!

A Harren masterpiece!  All the action is on a grander scale and the power radiates past the borders of the bristol board!

Ultramega is such an over-the-top fun book. Harren really brought his vision fully to life, and it is a wonder to behold.
