As a Batman fan in the '90's we were spoiled. Coming off the great stories of the mid to late '80's into the Classic '89 movie and then the '90's brought the excellent animated series. Daily episodes that we got to watch every weekday afternoon after school or football practice in some cases. Well written with fantastic voice acting. Nearly every episode was a masterpiece. And then DC Comics talked Paul Dini, Bruce Timm and the rest of the amazing crew into doing comic book stories sent in the Batman The Animated Series continuity. There were only a handful done but all of them were great. Especially the Batman Adventures Annual #2 story that this fine page is from.
Funny story, this is the second page from this issue that I have owned. The first page I bought from Mitch at Graphic Collectibles at the 1995 San Diego Comic Con for the astronomical price of $35. Yes you read that right. A published Bruce Timm Batman page was $35 when they were first sold. Crazy. Paid a tad more than that for this page in a recent Heritage auction.
