The Revival of the Demon

Boris Vallejo Creepy (Spanish Magazine) #18 Cover Original Art (Toutain Editor, 1980). Titled "The Revival of the Demon", this vibrant painting was used on the cover of the Spanish horror magazine, Creepy. The image was also featured in Vallejo's 1991 Comic Images trading card set as #71 "Demon Released". You may notice the painting is different than the printed version... originally dated "1978", the demon in the background was added by Vallejo later after publication and the date was painted over by the artist. Oil on board with an image area of 16" x 25", matted and open-front framed to 23.5" x 32.5". This painting was original painted in 1978.
