Star Trek

Painted illo. rendered as a tribute to the James Blish Star Trek paperback novels published from the late 1960's to the 1990's. I clearly recall these novelizations because for a long time they were the only "fix" available for trekkies like myself after the demise of the 1960's tv. show.

Author Jame Blish was credited exclusively for eleven volumes. It was later acknowledged that many were written in collaboration with his wife J. A. Lawrence and her mother.

Artist Mark Chiarello also created a faux mock-up of a James Blish paperback book featuring his painting. This is not a real book cover from the series.
