One of my top favorite artists, doing a cover for a favorite modern book. Had to grab it, of course. Great dynamism, as usual, from Paul.

Love the little details on the monster. And I always enjoy when artists don't need holding lines for everything. Thinking about color in advance, these small details really show the mastery.

Outstanding choice of character pose in regards to both characters. Makes for a Psquared beauty!

Nightmare inducing! At least it keeps you in the collecting game from which you will never escape (my pretty!). Not sure where I was going with that last part.

Once you're in, there's no getting out.

Makes me want to see an issue of this title drawn by Pope. It'll never happen but he'd kill it.

You can really feel and see the movement as she does her back flip. So cool! Believe it or not, your posting of this piece is the reminder I needed that I had forgotten all about the fact I was still reading this title! I think I ened with #25 or #30, so I must have at least 2 trades to get to!

So many good comics. Hard to stay on track. I usually wait for the deluxe HCs or digital.

Yeah, I know. I have zero interest in reading monthly comics, but even reading by trades isn't ideal, as you still have to wait at least half a year before you can read the next one and that's more than enough time to forget about it for another year or two!

They don't usually show the monsters on the covers, but no one is going to say no to Paul Pope.

Anytime you can add a Pope to your gallery is a win.  A cover is Winning (capital "W"), and scoring the cover of a favorite book?  That's something else entirely, and that's obviously what you have here.  Huge congrats, Jason!  The sense of movement is superb (it's like Slaughter is bursting out of the horror's head fully formed, like it's own nightmare made flesh) and the design of the beastie (with those tangled, semi-pindley legs) feels Pope Martian or Mek-ey, right?  Such a cool pick up!  Congrats again, J!
