Description
Being a big Neal Adams fan, I was awestruck standing in my comic shop (Jelly's) when I saw them put Armor #1 on the racks.

I immediately added that cover to my Top 10 list of fave covers.

I am very pleased to be the caretaker for this historic birth page.
(Note: Jack Keaton, the teenager, is shown in several pages before this one...it is this page where he is now introduced for the first time as the elite killing machine Armor)

Neal inked over Tom Grindberg's pencils...a great match.

The 2nd image posted is the back of the page with all of Tom's pencilled layouts.

It was important for Neal to get in on the indie scene as one of the most tenured and established studio houses.  He was orchestrating the entire line and was the driving force!  Armor is one of his most important creations and a pillar for the brand!

Grindberg had the Adams style down pat, so it was easy for Neal to be inking "himself"!

Well put.  I remember buying Grindberg comics because his art style was so close to Neal's.

Armor and Megalith were "must buys" back in the day! Nice slice of Continuity!
