Absolute Superman, Issue #1, Variant Cover - Javi Fernandez

Jason Aaron and Rafael Sandoval’s work on Absolute Superman has been a real treat. While the series started with questions about whether this was truly the Clark we know, Aaron took his time building a version of Superman that still embodies the character’s core beliefs. The Absolute era of DC draws inspiration from manga. Not just visually, but in its storytelling as well and it’s incredible to see artists like Javier Fernandez bring that to life with a wonderful Akira homage.
