Joker Graphic Novel pg 93 | Two-Face at the Gotham Zoo (DC, 2008)

Lee Bermejo and Mick Gray were putting the finishing touches on this book at the beginning of 2008, making this page about 18 years old now. This one is a stunner, covered in ink and featuring many of the main characters. Joker, Jonny Frost, Killer Croc and crew meet Two-Face at the Gotham Zoo. The top panel shows Two-Face in shadow with his infamous coin flipping through his fingers. The balance in the conversation momentarily shifts while he undermines Frost's allegiance, showing he and his thugs have Jonny's ex-wife Shelly hostage. The tension is palpable! The detail, especially in Two-Face in the third panel, is remarkable. Every page from this book is a gem and this one is no exception.
