Description
Batman Beyond "Rebirth: Part I" Terry McGinnis and Coe Original Production Cel and Original Animation Drawing (Warner Brothers, 1999). "Leave him alone. And get off my property! You're trespassing." Coming from the premiere episode of Batman Beyond, Terry McGinnis dishes out some fists of justice even before donning the superhero suit as he faces off against the impudent members of the Jokerz Gang in this original hand-painted production cel with a matching animation drawing. Originally aired over 25 years ago on 1/10/1999 as Episode 1 of Season 1, this 2-part premiere episode sees Gotham City fifty years into the future where a young teenage named, Terry McGinnis, meets an aged and reclusive Bruce Wayne on the night of Terry's father's murder. Terry is determined to bring his father's murderers to justice, so he impulsively resorts to stealing Bruce Wayne's last Batsuit to investigate Derek Powers, the corrupt employer of his father. Will Friedle portrayed the character of Terry McGinnis/Batman, including other memorable characters such as Ron Stoppable from Kim Possible (2002) and Eric Matthews from Boy Meets World (1993). Terry and Coe's full figures can be seen fighting each other at the 13:46 timestamp of the episode as old man Bruce Wayne joins the scuffle. The combined figure measures approximately 6.25" x 8", on both the cel and hand-drawn images, with the production cel displayed over a scene matching print background for presentation purposes, while his hand-drawn image is rendered in graphite with colored pencil on 3-peg hole animation paper. Both pieces bear a Warner Brothers Production Art seal in the lower left corner. The overall condition is Very Good with light surface, paint residue on Terry's image, minimal amount of faded linework, and minor handling wear and edge wear.
