Zorro study by Sean Gordon Murphy for Zorro 3

Sean Gordon Murphy has been on a roll for many years with his tour de force work on Batman, America Vampire, The Wake, Tokyo Ghost, and many others. His style has been loose, tight, and angular.

This little 3x3 study of Zorro for the 3rd cover of Zorro: Man of the Dead is a very tight artistic study of Zorro. It captures the essence of the classic Zorro with some of the Toth touches. The pose is Zorro preparing to do what he does best, fence. The detail in the costume is an added plus, as is the touch of a background.

I have added the image of the cover where Zorro is the background character and much larger than this pen and ink beauty.
