What happened to this guy? I remember liking his work back in the day and this is an excellent example of what he's capable of.

Great action pose and I really like the shadows which give the piece a cool 3-D effect.

An excellent rendition of the character, looking like a cell from an Iron Fist animated show! The lighting technique using the colors is nicely done and as Jim said above, the added shadow is a simple addition that makes the piece so much more interesting that most "single character, no background" pieces.

Drawn and colored like classic anime cel!  The thin lines and color changes for shadows enhance the dynamic action of the piece!

Easy to see why you couldn't let this one slip by!  Great pose and nothing short of -luscious- colors; the extra depth and dimension lent by that shadow is superb!  His technique is really compelling, too: I love how spare Rob leaves the linework, knowing what details he'll be filling in with the colors.  It's a piece that feels simultaneously simple and complexly layered (which obviously comes from a lifetime of practice, refinement, and deliberation).  Super cool piece, F M!
