Lunar New Year Love Story remarque by Gene Luen Yang, Los Altos 2026

      Faith Erin Hicks appeared at Linden Tree Books in Los Altos on April First. She was on a short book tour for Inbetweens with stops in Texas, Colorado, and California. Bay Area resident Gene Yang interviewed her about her early animation career and the pivot to comics following the 2008 recession. The story concerns twin sisters who attend an animation workshop. Faith and Gene expressed their mutual love for Avatar the Last Airbender animated series. They have both written for the comic series.of graphic novels. Gene wrote Lunar New Year Love Story and Leyuen Pham drew it.  I missed their book tour, but was happy to get Gene to sign and sketch in it.
