Corcos paints Morningside Park from an elevated view looking northwest. The artist used a restricted palette of warm browns and grays with heavy outlines. She was a leading modern American primitivist. She has had numerous museums shows including the Whitney Biennial. Surface dirt and grim. Canvas is glued to masonite. The extreme edges of the canvas do not align with the edge of frame and a few minor tears at the very extreme edge. Reframing would hide the edge issues.
