He looks like a failed French artist ready to paint the outside of your house.
When my kids were little their favorite Marvel comics for me to read to them were reprints of the Human Torch stories from Strange Tales, and even at the age of four they thought Paste Pot Pete was a funny name. Great Hembeck image of one of Stan and Jack's (and Larry Lieber's) zanier creations.
Great early villain - one of my favourites from when he joined the Frightful Four. Fred shows him in his full foppery.
One of Marvel's oldest AND oddest. But still a super fun villain. I guess I'll have to wait for the next one. Haha!
