Set in turn-of-the-century Paris, Saphir blends occult horror, alternate dimensions, and detective fiction, following Inspector Alphonse Mucha as he becomes entangled with the mysterious Lady Sofia Corundum and forces beyond reality itself. Roach’s artwork perfectly captures the gothic atmosphere and supernatural tone of the story, making this a standout modern 2000 AD series.
