Rick Lays on Andrea’s Grave The Walking Dead Issue 168 p 21

Losing Andrea was probably the most emotional moment of the entire series.  Rick Grimes had dealt with so much trauma and grief but would he get over losing Andrea?  This 3/4 splash is the last page of an issue where the community grieves the loss of Andrea and as Rick finally has a moment to himself to grieve, he collapses on Andrea's fresh grave and gets in a fetal position in the moonlight.  The image foreshadows the last time we see Rick Grimes in the story when he is buried next to Andrea after he dies.  Really great story telling by Kirkman and Adlard . The image says everything the reader is wondering about the emotional weight of the issue and the series and marks the end to the Whisperer War main assault arc.
