Description

Creatures on the Loose ran for 28 issues from 1971-1975, publishing a mixture of sword and sorcery features, horror/fantasy reprints, and the science-fiction werewolf feature "Man-Wolf".

It introduced the feature "Gullivar Jones, Warrior of Mars", starring an interplanetary Earthman created by author Edwin L. Arnold in his 1905 book Lieut. Gullivar Jones: His Vacation

"The Long Road To Nowhere"

Gullivar and Chak try to survive while Meru is taken captive.

Pencils by Wayne Boring with inks by Jim Mooney on official Marvel art board and with the copyright stamp and CCA stamp on the back.

Very fun where the early 70's were pushing the limits of horror and how far they can go mixed in with the literary illustrative classics and the superhero genre.  The bottom panel is great with the thoughts expanded out to a half splash of montage.
