Sal Buscema's action choreography is at its most kinetic here, with the Hulk's emergence rendered in full sound-effect glory: FRZAK, KASHTROOM, SKATHRAK. This is Bronze Age Marvel storytelling in its most visceral form. The Mantlo/Buscema partnership rarely got more dynamic than when the Hulk was in mid-transformation.
