A Super Start – My First OA Purchase - McG Superman #173

To me, Ed McGuinness’s work on Superman and Superman/Batman is legendary. His "chunky," hyper-dynamic style perfectly captured the DC aesthetic and, in my opinion, defined the Man of Steel for the modern era.

Here is a page from Superman #173, which was part of my very first original art purchase. I wasn't overly familiar with Strange Visitor at the time, but the power of this splash and the great dialogue won me over instantly!
