Created circa late 60s, Chantrell's artwork draws clear inspiration from his celebrated poster designs for Hammer productions such as She and The Vengeance of She, echoing their dramatic composition and bold, stylised aesthetic. The piece is hand-painted on a square sheet of paper, which has been adhered to an illustration board for display purposes. Rózsa, one of cinema's most celebrated composers, was responsible for iconic scores including Ben-Hur, El Cid, Quo Vadis, and Spellbound, making this a fitting visual tribute to a remarkable body of work.
