Erica Slaughter doesn’t pose for the camera — she sizes up the threat. I wanted this piece to feel like you’re the monster looking up at her seconds before the chainsaw starts screaming. The low-angle perspective, torn denim, heavy shadows, and those spider-like shapes behind her were all designed to push that uneasy ‘Something is Killing the Children’ atmosphere.
