Beauty!
A gorgeous, cover-worthy splash, and an excellent write-up! Congrats on this beauty.
Fine pencil work of which some is unfortunately lost in the cover's dark colors! Interesting story arc!
great description and great pick up
Very nice!
Like a the Robin Dragster, a rarely seen vehichle in the Batcave garage makes its screaming debut! They may lose the delicate Quitely lines when colored, but we get to see what Frank wanted to convey with the speed lines for redline acceleration.
I really love those lines, especially on the tires! I'm so thankful to be an original art fan, too, because that's what allows me the ability to have access to seeing the lines in the first place, without the garish coloring added.
insanely cool splash
Spectacular!
Wow - huge congrats on this addition. Fantastic Batman spash from this iconic work within Quitely's body of work - I finally read this earlier this year, missed out in it back in the day!
I think you made me want to give this story a try
"This first page to issue #3 is actually nicer than the cover, and stands as one of the most beautiful comic pages of Quitely’s career."
That's high praise considering #3's cover is one of the more inventive, memorable ones in the run. But either way, this page is definitely a beauty on its own merits, congrats!
Dang Matt. Quitely Power to the Maximus USA Style! CONGRATS!
Beautiful! You can feel the energy in this one.
Whoa - stunning Quitely piece - just lovely. Congrats!!!
Far more exciting it he Pencil version. The Pencil lines just seem to carry more energy than the inked.color final.
Harry Walker has some stiff competition this year.
Oww! I can almost feel that roadburn myself. Great page
Such a bold a clean image! A special stripped-down model of the Batmobile for just such an occasion; it's design is as much over-the-top anarchic fun as the splash itself. LOVE those tires, and the goon better hope Bats didn't skip arm day recently... FANTASTIC Quitely pick up, Matt - wow! Huge congrats!
Great splash!
