I'd appreciate help finding an image of the published page and a better one of the published cover. These comics are hard to find.

Historical note: The Japanese task force sank the US cruisers Astoria, Quincy, and Vincennes and the Australian cruiser Canberra during the night battle of Savo Island in August 1942.

Fearing air attack by US carrier planes, the Japanese ships turned back and didn't attack the troop transports and supply ships supporting the Guadalcanal landing. The US carriers, however, had already withdrawn before the battle, partly because of the threat of Japanese attack.

The invasion fleet left the next night to avoid being destroyed, leaving the Marines with barely enough ammunition and supplies to defend against Japanese assaults.

Savo Island was the first of several costly naval battles during the Guadalcanal campaign. The waters near Guadalcanal are littered with sunken warships, earning the name Iron Bottom Sound.
