Three pages from the same issue?! Don't worry, this is the last one. I enjoyed this issue for sure, but I didn't set out to collect so many examples from it. Burkey has been dropping a number of classic Excalibur pages, and all the pages I liked happened to be from issue #23.

I think this one is especially interesting. While it's not Earth-616 Illyana, it's still one of the rare occasions Alan Davis drew Magik, and the only issue that I'm aware of featuring her alter ego, Darkchilde. That makes it a pretty unique page within Davis's Excalibur run!

Great run of posts, James! Another winner from Davis. The upwards angle and movement in the first panel really sets the fast pace for this tale of deception. Great expression in the final panel!

Man, the Nightcrawler and Illyanaimages in the top tier are all spectacular! I'd ask you to explain why this isn't the real Illyana and who the hell "Darkchilde" is, but I'm more interested in you not having to spend time typing than I am in knowing the answers!
