Game changing mini series for Marvel that defined who are the true players and shapers of universes! It doesn't hurt that Cheung and Morales did the art as the Illuminati are here on the page!
Sweet page from an awsome Bendis mini - Cheung and Morales were at the top of their game! Nice.
WOW! I know you went for the Subby, but you got some super strong renditions of the other major players as well! With the reader's ears ringing from the events of the pages preceding this one, I actually really like the bare background as the dust settles here, so as to not upstage the high emotional pitch of the exchanges happening here as the Illuminati melts down and implodes on the front doorstep of a Skrull crisis. Yikes! Cheung's patented gorgeous details are especially potent when Mark is on inks (like the small pits and scratches on Iron Man's armor in panel 1, Namor's intense snarl in panel 4, and the inking in Namor's costume in panel 5 - I always loved how Jim fashioned the fabric cutaways around Namor's ankles, allowing for the movement of the wings :) ) A fantastic page from a favorite series.
