Description

Really happy to have this in the collection!  This was Jim's contribution to the 2025 Baltimore Comic-Con Yearbook that was focused on Jeff Smith's Bone.  I sadly was not able to attend the show and I thought that all of the pieces were sold at auction during the con.  Imagine my surprise when a friend found this piece in one of Jim's portfolios at a later show!  I happily bought it right away.

Just a great image composition here with Fone Bone in the open and airy right side fo the piece with a contrast to the sinisted black lined Rat Creatures encroaching upon him.

Thanks to Casey for securing this for me!

Cheung's draftsmanship still on full display despite the simpler Fone Bone features! Hopefully some piping hot quiche can bring peace between the warring factions in the near future.

You can tell Jim Cheung was serious about doing his best on this piece!  The illustration work matches what he would do for major publishers and really shows his love of Bone.

Sensational, Pat!  An incredibly special piece, rendered to perfection (especially that left side - wow!) by the ever-amazing Jim Cheung.  I never expected to see Jim Cheung Rat Creatures today - thanks for making my morning, and congrats on a killer pick up!

This is one of the pieces I highlighted as a favorite in my 2025 Baltimore Comic-Con Yearbook review (Bone #30 in the Bone Comic Book Archive). Should have known you'd acquire it. Well done sir and it's certainly spectacular! I especially like the rat creatures which are a callback to Jeff's Thorn days
