1997.07.14 Dave Stevens, Bettie Page, and Bunny Yeager signature phone cards
In 1997, Argo City Company offered a limited edition set of phone cards (3.75 x 2.25 in) in recognition of Bettie Page. One of them is printed with a full color version of “Betty’s Bath” and signed by both Dave Stevens and Bettie Page (edition of 35). The Dave Stevens gallery archive (davestevens.com) shows three other editions of this card were offered (900 unsigned; 65 Bettie only; 25 Dave only). The other card is a b/w lacey underwear shot of Bettie, signed by Bettie and Bunny Yeager, Bettie’s longtime photographer. I do not know how many cards were in that edition or what variations there might have been. Both are listed a card #004 of their respective editions. Two other Bettie cards have been reported from 1998. I am the original owner and have the mailing envelope and my credit card receipt (07/14/97) with the #4 for each card noted. The cards are as I received them: in bags, stapled to a cardboard sheet on which is a thank you note from Ken for my order (Ken Barnes was the owner).
