Willie Ito (1934 - ) is one of the grand old men of animation, having worked at Disney in the 1950s, before moving to Warner Brothers and Hanna-Barbera. Ito later returned to Disney, designing themed merchandise. Along the way, Ito has worked on Lady and the Tramp, The Jetsons, Josie and Pussycats and so much more. I’m quite pleased to be able to offer a large and beautiful ink and watercolor drawing of the pie-eyed version of Mickey Mouse, which, as everyone knows, is the absolute best version! The drawing was executed with brush and ink first, and really shows off Ito’s animation chops. Drawn in 1979, it is pretty much a perfect piece for the Disney fan in your life. Measuring 17”x 14”, the piece was matted and framed at one point, so has just a touch of sunning. The colors remain bright and vivid, which means it was not hung in direct light. Solid Fine+ condition. $185.00 + 18.00 first class shipping. SOLD
