Gary Frank's BRAINIAC SHRINKS METROPOLIS Action Comics #869

This page from Action Comics #869 is a big moment from the 2008 “Brainiac” storyline. Superman is trapped in sensory overload, Supergirl tries fails to fight off her enemy's invasion tech, and Lois Lane watches in horror as Brainiac's ship moves over the Metropolis skyline. Written by Geoff Johns, pencils by Gary Frank and inks by Jon Sibal. Sibal is one of my favorite inkers, especially when paired with Frank.

This sequence kicked off the New Krypton crossover and directly led to the (*spoiler*) (but, come on, it's been eighteen years) tragic fate of Pa Kent.
