11x22" frame contains artboard that has been matted to 5.5x16.75" under glass and features pen and ink original art by Pogo creator Walt Kelly (1913-1973). Dated Nov. 13, 1956, strip features four panels and shows Pogo in first panel asking Howland Owl (who wear wizard's cap) what type of scientific instruments are in his "Satellite" (in reality a trash can Lil Mouse is helping load into a large canon for launch). Last panel sees an upset Lil Mouse grabbing his bag to leave. Pogo appears in three of four panels while Howland and Lil Mouse appear in every panel. Dated in first panel w/hand-lettered "The Hall Syndicate, Inc." name at bottom. Kelly has signed in second panel. Top margin has some scattered editorial notations. Bottom margin has been inscribed "Best To Dave - Walt" to David T. Parsons Sr. Artboard has vertical crease at center as mailed and shows even lt. aging but art remains clean and Exc.
