Description

This page is from "Star Wars Legacy" ongoing series issue #3, entitled "Broken (Part 3)". This story takes place 137 years after the Battle of Yavin and follows the adventures of Luke Skywalker's descendant Cade Skywalker.

This page contains: Cade Skywalker and Luke Skywalker's ghost.

This page done on a white art board (11x17). In the original art Luke was drawn with his black Return of the Jedi costume, but the published page (see other image) has him wearing a Jedi robe – according to the inker, Dan Parsons, "the change must have been a Lucas Film request and was done with patch overlay since the faces are the same".

One of my favorite art teams of the Dark Horse era of Star Wars, and Cade was a great and complex character evolving slowly throughout the series, attemptiing at first to not overcome his heritage but detach from it completely. Great page, congrats!

I would prefer the black Jedi knight costume as it makes every decision feel more serious in tone and make us question if if he still had the dark side as a force ghost.
