Movie Monster Jam - Part 1

11x17. I started my monster collection with a big project, my first jam. I've seen many jams over the years and thought a movie monster lineup would be interesting. I made a list of artists and characters I wanted. Then had to figure out how to make it happen.

Alien - Jae Lee. Jae Lee was at a small comic con near my in laws. My wife and I made the trip and we went straight to Jae on Saturday. I thought he'd do a cool Xenomorph from the Alien series. I spoke with him about my idea and he agreed to start the jam. I picked this up the next day and couldn't have been happier.

Creature From The Black Lagoon - Arthur Adams. Arthur Adams was THE guy for the Creature. I got on his commission list at Baltimore Comic-Con before it closed, but wasn't sure if he'd get to the piece. I stopped by Arthur's table Sunday afternoon and the Gill-man was done. I feel lucky to have him on here.

The Return of the Living Dead - Tony Moore. Tony Moore was an obvious choice for a zombie. I went to Planet Comiccon Kansas City partially because he was announced. I went to his table immediately to drop off the jam. The rotten punk zombie with flies and filth coming off him is so damn good.

The Thing - Jeremy Bastian. There was some room above the Gill-man and I thought the Spider-head from The Thing would fit. I knew Jeremy Bastian could pull it off. His work is incredible. I took the art to Heroescon and asked if he'd be interested. Jeremy is a fan of the movie so I got him to finish the jam.
