Jim Silke's Jungle Girls. Steve Morger's
Big Wow Art published the
Jim Silke Sketchbook in 2003. The artist has a long career including record albums, movie magazines, screenwriting, and art instruction. I first met Jim at WonderCon in 1996 and see and talk to him frequently at WonderCon, San Diego Comic-Con, and
Big Wow ComicFest. He was on a pin-up panel at WonderCon with Dave Stevens, Frank Cho, Terry Dodson, Russ Heath, and Michael Bair. My notes on this event are in my CAF
Dave Stevens Rocketeer page. I purchased this pencil piece from Jim on Saturday of WonderCon 2007, my only art purchase of the con. He says this French actress was supposed to be the next Brigitte Bardot.
