As I wandered into the DC booth Sunday, I saw Bruce Timm drawing a nice Sandman sketch for someone.
I quickly went to the table and asked the nearest person where the line was.
To my relief and amazement, it was ony three or four people long!
When he finished the Sandman piece, a little boy wanted both Batman and Superman, but Bruce good-naturedly asked him, "If you could only have one super-hero, who would it be?"
With some doubt, the kid says Nightwing from the TV show.
After drawing a nice big Nightwing headshot, the youngster sat there confused. He was still waiting for his Nightwing sketch, when Bruce finally realized he actually wanted the Terry McGinnis Batman from Batman Beyond.
So, with/out missing a beat, Timm added a little Batman Beyond full-body character to the bottom of the page.
With that, the kid happily left the table.
While all this was taking place, the guy in front of me only wanted one comic signed, saying that he wished he'd brought SOMEthing to get a sketch on.
So, of course, I gave him a nice 11x14 piece of paper and Bruce Timm drew a nice Harley Quinn sketch seen in the photo.
Naturally, the kid behind me wanted a piece too, as he only had a ruled-lined piece of paper, but hey, I'd just fulfilled my quota of free bristol for the day.
Oh and btw, I got a quick headsketch by Timm, which will be posted later.
Thanks, Bruce.
